The Farm

St Werburghs City Farm is an independent registered charity that works in partnership with the local community to provide high quality educational, recreational and environmental services and resources within a working farm. We welcome all, including those who are socially and/or economically disadvantaged.

Our vision is for St Werburghs City Farm to be an inspirational place connecting people, animals and the land. We aim to promote health and well being for all by providing opportunities for people to meet, learn, play, build relationships and celebrate the changing seasons.

This green oasis in the heart of the city is surrounded by acres of allotments, so there's a real country feel. The livestock include pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, hens and rabbits. We sell eggs, plants and other produce.

Children can enjoy a romp in the adventure playground which is adjacent to the award-winning Café (which is managed independently and is not part of the charity) where you can indulge in irresistible cakes, meals and snacks. The beautiful community garden with its terraced vegetable beds, herbaceous borders and wildlife pond is worth a visit too.

The Farm is open every day including bank holidays, with free entry :
9am-5pm summer, 9am-4pm winter.
Café opens 10am, but is closed Tuesdays.
